Itineris – a fast-growing technology company that develops, implements, and supports innovative software solutions for Utilities – is pleased to announce that it has successfully launched its cloud-based Customer Information Solution, UMAX, at The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The UMAX implementation reinforces DEP’s strategy to improve engagement with the nine million New York citizens they serve, while streamlining business operations. UMAX was successfully delivered remotely amid COVID restrictions, and, just prior to go-live weekend, amid Hurricane Ida destruction and significant flooding.
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and its 6,000 employees, provide more than one billion gallons of clean drinking water each day to nine million New Yorkers. DEP had significant critical goals for their CIS replacement project: they wanted to replace their legacy water and wastewater billing system with an industry leading, and highly configurable water and sewer customer information and customer relationship management system. DEP selected Itineris and their UMAX solution after an extensive evaluation process.
