River Cleanup comes to New York – supported by Itineris
September 1, 2022
On September 17th, the whole world celebrates World Cleanup Day. During that day, River Cleanup, together with four mission-driven organizations, will take on a massive river cleanup at Randall’s Island Park. Each organization will be represented by its local NY staff and everyone is welcome to join the effort.
Le Botaniste, the first carbon-neutral certified organic plant-based restaurant in NYC, South Pole, a global climate change consultancy, SPIN, the original ping pong social club, and Itineris, a global technology company that develops and implements innovative software solutions for utilities, will be joining forces.
About River Cleanup
River Cleanup is an internationally recognized organization specializing in the cleaning of trash and refuse from rivers that has removed more than a million kilograms of plastic waste from rivers across the world. This event will mark the organization’s first foray into the United States. We are also marking World Cleanup Day – started in Estonia four years ago, to raise awareness of the mismanaged waste crisis.
