Internship description

During your internship, you will receive guidance to become a Developer (= Technical Consultant). You will be part of one of our Development teams and learn how to work in a fast-evolving and international environment. At the end of the Internship, you will have a solid base to work in an IT consultancy firm like Itineris.

We have open positions in the Development teams, either for the Regulated (= Water) or for the Deregulated (= Electricity & Gas) market, for Europe as well as for North America.

All positions will be based in Ghent, Sint-Denijs-Westrem (buses 76, 77 and 78 coming from Gent-Sint-Pieters stop right in front of the building). 

As our Intern, you will…

  • You will work in a UMAX product development team, and you will be assigned to a specific domain (e.g. Meter Data Management, Market Interaction, Asset Service Management, Prospect to Contract, CRM,...).
UMAX is the brand name of our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables them to better engage with their customers. UMAX is a cloud-based solution, built on the powerful Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. 
  • You will learn:
    • How we use the Scrum methodology in our projects.
    • The Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes.
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and X++ and/or .NET/Angular.
    • Our different software modules & our data model.
    • How to analyze & evaluate a functional analysis.
    • How to make a technical design based on functional analyses.
    • To build effective product backlog items based on functional analyses (incl. unit testing & bug fixing).

What you bring

  • A graduating student (Bachelor or Master) in Informatics, or other IT (Development) related study.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in Dutch and English.
  • A dynamic team player, eager to gain valuable experience in a fast-changing technological environment.
