The B2B segment of E.ON in the Netherlands recently went live with the UMAX solution for utility suppliers. This go-live was the first step in the implementation of an overall project called bE.One at E.ON (NL). The goal of the project is to have all B2B clients serviced through one integrated business solution—in this case UMAX—that is fully complicit with the new Dutch market model (SOWII/Upstream!).
In addition to this need to comply with regulatory changes, E.ON launched the initiative to simplify its IT architecture, reduce the number of applications and consolidate to one integrated IT platform.
