AWW
AWW is one of the largest water producers in the Benelux. ENECO wanted to streamline its IT systems and the business processes built around them, while simultaneously accelerating the development of new products and services. On top of that, it wanted to adapt its computer systems for e-business applications to further improve customer friendliness and reduce transaction
costs.

After an extensive selection process ENECO chose Microsoft Dynamics AX supplemented with specific software and experience from Itineris. This total solution takes care of the automation of business processes from quotation to invoicing.

Intergas Energie BV, trading under the name Intergas Netbeheer, manages the natural gas network of some 3150 km of pipelines and the connections of 143,500 consumers. The service area of Intergas Energie’s network stretches from West to Mid-Brabant. The aim of Intergas Energie is to maintain and develop the natural gas transport network in an economic way. A way, moreover, that guarantees the safety, efficiency and reliability of gas transport and takes into account the environment.
Challenge
After the deregulation of the energy market Intergas Energie found itself in a new business situation with outdated software. So it had to look for a suitable automation package to make its operational management more efficient and to further improve services for its customers.
Solution
With Microsoft Dynamics AX and the utility modules of Itineris, Intergas Netbeheer now has one application, instead of several, to keep track of its operational management digitally.

SPE is Belgium’s second largest electricity producer, with 18 production centres and a total capacity of 1600 MW. In addition to the production of traditional energy, SPE is also investing heavily in renewable energy from water and wind power. The deregulation of the energy market opened the doors for SPE to bring energy right to the consumer’s doorstep, which SPE does under the brand name, Citypower. SPE employs some 469 people.
Challenge
After the Citypower takeover, SPE had just a few months to organise a well-functioning administration for both private and business customers, initially for the Flemish region and then for Wallonia and Brussels.
Solution
SPE installed Microsoft Dynamics AX. IT partner, Itineris implemented this and extended it with a few specific modules. The application was also complimented with Xellent, an invoicing module developed by EG Utility especially for utilities companies. Microsoft Dynamics AX was previously known as Microsoft Axapta.

Essent supplies gas and electricity in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, both to private individuals and to companies. In Belgium Essent is the biggest alternative energy supplier, with more than 200,000 households and 2,000 companies in its customer file. Some 135 people work at Essent Belgium.
Challenge
Essent wanted to completely automate the back office system for the B2B segment and so free up time for customers. In fact, Essent wants to double the turnover for this segment within three years. The migration of millions of pieces of data had to run smoothly and be guaranteed to be flawless.
Solution
IT partner Itineris installed its utilities modules, including Xellent, which is based on Microsoft Axapta. After a faultless migration, Essent is investing the time gained in additional time for the customer and more analysis.
