2014: IBM and UMAX in North America

Itineris signs a global framework agreement with IBM for the sales and implementation of UMAX.

City of Baltimore selects UMAX solutions to replace its legacy CIS and improve billing and customer care, strengthening Itineris’ growing footprint in the North American utilities market.

2013: Gimv invests & more awards

Private equity firm Gimv invests in Itineris, contributing to a capital increase to fuel international expansion with current shareholders PMV and Itineris’ CEO.

Itineris’ project manager Karen De Smet is elected “Young ICT Lady of the Year 2013” by leading IT magazine Datanews.

Gartner favorably positions UMAX in its Magic Quadrant report for utility customer information systems (CIS).

Itineris acquires Atlanta-based Crimson Oak Consulting and customers and begins entrance into the North American utilities market.

UMAX achieves Microsoft Dynamics AX certification after meeting stringent alignment requirements.

2011: PMV invests & UMAX emerges

Venture capital firm Participatie Maatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV) and Itineris’ CEO Edgard Vermeersch participate in funding round of €4,500,000.

Itineris re-brands its solutions portfolio as UMAX in connection with international expansion plans and update to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

Itineris succeeds in delivering the first ever UMAX & AX2012 implementation in the world at Eneco Belgium.

2010: Microsoft relationship deepens

Itineris becomes a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner and reaches five years as a certified Microsoft Gold Partner for ERP.

Joins Microsoft TAP (Technology Adoption Program), providing Itineris and our customers early access (six to eight months) to releases of Microsoft Dynamics AX major versions.

Itineris again receives a Trends Gazellen award for outstanding financial performance.

Building on success in the “home market,” Itineris begins strategic consideration of and preparation for expansion into new global markets.

2008: Maturation & early recognition

Itineris continues to build market share in the Belgian energy and water market as well as the Dutch energy retail and distribution market segments.

Certification as Microsoft Gold Partner for ERP achieved.

2003: Beginnings

Founded by Edgard Vermeersch, Itineris enters the European utilities market with the purpose of delivering ERP/CIS solutions on the Axapta technology platform (soon to become Microsoft Dynamics AX) for energy and water companies in regulated and deregulated/liberalized markets.

European energy markets undergo liberalization (deregulation), opening the door for Itineris to provide modern solutions for this new market.

Itineris solutions expand to leverage the entire Microsoft technology stack, including Dynamics AX (Axapta), BizTalk, SharePoint, etc.
